NASA personnel offloading hardware from a C-5 aircraft at Kennedy Space Center’s Shuttle Landing Facility. Included are a full-scale simulator crew module and launch abort system, intended for the Ares I-X rocket launch scheduled for July 2009. These components form the top of the Ares I-X rocket and play a critical role in astronaut safety and mission success. Useful for illustrating space program logistics, aerospace technology, and equipment transportation processes.
