Astronaut Anchored to Robot Arm Performing Spacewalk Near Space Shuttle Discovery Image
Astronaut James S. Voss is performing a spacewalk while anchored to the remote manipulator system robot arm near the Space Shuttle Discovery. This extravehicular activity is one of the scheduled space walks for the STS-102 mission. Voss, along with Susan J. Helms (not in frame), was a mission specialist who later became part of the Expedition Two crew aboard the International Space Station.
