This satellite image from NASA’s EO-1 ALI shows Mackenzie Bay near the Amery Ice Shelf before northern icebergs, including ghostly blue-green tendrils possibly caused by frazil crystals. Suitable for use in scientific studies of glaciology and oceanography, as well as in educational materials discussing the effects of climate and oceanic processes in Antarctica.
